Voter Fraud Allegations In Texas Most Sparsely Populated County

Eleven people are registered to vote at one address in Loving County. One of them is Loving County Commissioner Ysidro Renteria, who has been in office since 2011 and listed this property in December as his permanent address on his application to run for re-election, signed under oath. He and at least three relatives used the address to vote in the March primaries.

The secret? "No one lives there,” says Loving County Sheriff Chris Busse, who's also the voter registrar for the county, which is the least populated county in the United States, with an estimated 54 residents, despite voter rolls that show 97 voters are registered in the oil-rich county.

Houston League of Women Voters Gets 10,000 Voter Registration Forms

The Texas Secretary of State's office provided the Houston chapter of the League of Women Voters of Texas 10,000 voter registration forms over the weekend that they had requested. 

 
After initially being promised only 50 voter registration forms and eventually receiving 1,000 forms last week, the League sent a letter Friday to Texas Secretary of State John Scott threatening to sue if the state did not provide the needed registration forms to the League and other voter registration organizations ahead of the March 1 primary.

South Texas Woman Arrested On 26 Counts Of Election Fraud

A south Texas woman was arrested by the Texas Attorney General’s Office Wednesday on 26 counts of violating state election laws.

Monica Rene Mendez, 36, of Port Lavaca, was charged with three counts of illegal voting, seven counts of unlawful voter assistance, eight counts of returning marked ballots without consent and eight counts of election fraud, according to jail records.

Former Mayoral Candidate Charged With Felony Voter Fraud

A former Carrollton Democrat mayoral candidate, Zul Mirza Mohamed, was indicted last week and formally charged on 109 felony charges related to voter fraud.

The Denton County Sheriff’s Office last October arrested and charged Zul Mirza Mohamed on 25 counts of unlawful possession of a ballot/ballot envelope without request of the voter and 84 counts of fraudulent use of a mail ballot application. The charges are second- and third-degree felonies, according to Texas election laws.

Four Arrested On Voter Fraud Charges

A Justice of the Peace has been arrested and accused of election fraud, along with three other people, reports News4SanAntonio.

Medina County Justice of the Peace Tomas Ramirez was arrested Feb. 11 after a Bandera Grand Jury indicted him and three others two days prior.

Ramirez is facing one count of organized election fraud, one count of assisting voter voting ballot by mail and 17 counts of unlawful possession of a ballot or ballot envelope.

Leonor Rivas Garza, Eva Ann Martinez and Mary Balderrama were also arrested.

Williamson County Sheriff Chody Sues, Alleging Voter Fraud In Nov. Election Loss

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody is suing Sheriff-elect Mike Gleason, his opponent in November’s election, claiming Gleason’s victory was influenced by fraudulent votes and irregularities, reports KXAN TV.

The lawsuit, filed Dec. 15, claims election officers counted illegal votes, failed to count legal votes and made mistakes and/or engaged in illegal conduct.

Gleason received 56% of the Nov. 3 vote.

Chody, a Republican, greatly outspent his challenger in the November election.
