#TexasPolitics365

Gov. Greg Abbott has announced plans to ban the social media platform TikTok, which is owned by a Chinese company and is suspected of sharing data collected from users with the Chinese Communist Party, Abbott's move would prevent all state employees and others from using the platform on state properties.

Abbott wrote on Twitter Monday, "Today, I’m announcing a plan to ban TikTok in Texas.

It’s critical that state agencies are protected from the Chinese Communist Party as they work on behalf of Texans.
